You accurately quoted words such as &#039;does not &quot;endorse,&quot;&#039; which is not the same as &quot;forbid,&quot; and &quot;recommend,&quot; which is not the same as &quot;command.&quot;

As to Opus Dei and their numbered system, that&#039;s them. I can only speak for Jehovah&#039;s Witnesses:
